Job summary

Spectrum Staffing Services seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle AP processes in a fast-paced setting. You will accurately record invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring proper approvals and GAAP compliance.

The role offers exposure to multi-entity accounting, opportunities to streamline workflows, and collaboration with internal teams. Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable.
• Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable including invoice processing and payment execution
• Accurately record invoices, credit card expenses, and employee reimbursements
• Ensure proper documentation and approvals are obtained for all transactions
• Maintain organized and detailed financial records
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting
• Support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborate with internal teams while handling additional accounting-related tasks as needed
