Job summary

A high school diploma or GED is required; accounting or finance education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and sort documents substantiating business transactions, such as invoices, checks, and statements.
• Establish files and maintain accurate documents including proper filing and retention in accordance with company policy.
• Verify, investigate, and post details of business transactions, such as vendor purchases and disbursed funds, to the appropriate accounts in the ERP.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in a timely manner.
• Review invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records to ensure accurate and complete accounting records.
• Set up and maintain vendor records including W-9 collection and verification.
• Timely respond to questions related to accounts payable, procedures, and services from employees, vendors, customers, and business units.
• Prepare various daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and job-to-date report.
• Prepare journal entries relating to general ledger, cash disbursements, or job costing.
• Review, analyze, reconcile and, if needed, correct general ledger transactions.
• Routinely report/update supervisor with progress towards department initiatives.
