Job summary

LMI in Tysons, VA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage travel vouchers, employee reimbursements, and related AP tasks in a fast-paced government-focused environment.

You will ensure compliance with LMI policies, code invoices accurately, maintain records, and support cost control through process improvements, with exposure to Costpoint and federal regulations such as FAR and JTR.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, business strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a business environment.
• 3+ years in Accounts Payable.
• Strong computer skills and spreadsheet proficiency.
• Experience with DELTEK Costpoint and Time and Expense preferred.
• Experience in government contracting accounting.
• Knowledge of FAR & JTR regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process travel vouchers and employee reimbursements.
• Review expenses against policy requirements and restrictions.
• Determine and assign proper general ledger and project codes to invoices.
• Enter accounts payable data into Costpoint and related modules.
• Test Costpoint system changes and report findings.
• Suggest process improvements and support improvement initiatives.
• Rotate in the Tuesday EFT check run.
• Maintain control of accounting files and archives.
