Job summary

Clēnera, a Boise-based developer and independent power producer, seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage daily AP tasks, vendor payments, and reconciliations. The role focuses on accurate financial processing and timely payments within a collaborative team.

The position emphasizes vendor management, PO and invoice reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold internal controls and project cost accuracy in a fast-paced, energy-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 2+ years in an accounts payable/receivable role or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn company-specific software.
• Ability to understand general ledger coding, accruals, and the impact of transactions on financial statements.
• Identify and resolve PO/invoice mismatches, duplicate entries, and payment delays using root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day accounts payable activities, credit card reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Track, process, and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, statements, payments, checks, and refunds per internal policies.
• Verify, classify, post, and record accounts payable data accurately.
• Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts.
• Maintain and update vendor database and resolve vendor billing discrepancies.
• Audit and verify integrity of financial reports with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to support AP operations.
• Maintain project timelines and deliverables within AP scope.
