Job summary

KBP Brands in Leawood, KS is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will support automated invoice processing and ensure accuracy of AI/OCR data. You will review invoices, resolve exceptions, reconcile vendor accounts, and maintain supplier records while following internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Experience with automated AP/OCR and an ERP system (Workday a plus).
• Excel skills: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative team player eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review AI/OCR data for accuracy and GL coding per policies.
• Identify and resolve processing exceptions and recurring errors.
• Reconcile high-volume vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier records, vendor setup, W-9s, banking details.
• Support month-end close and payment cycles.
• Assist with refunds and credits to vendor accounts.
