Job summary

Allegheny Contract is a Winchester, MA-based family-owned commercial flooring contractor seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage a heavy daily invoice workload and maintain accurate vendor accounts.

You will perform 3-way matching, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with vendors, customer service, and the warehouse team to address pricing and receiving issues.

Job description

Allegheny Contract is a family-owned commercial flooring contractor based in Winchester, MA. Since 1961 we've installed floors across New England for clients including Harvard, Mass General Brigham, and Microsoft.

We're hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle a heavy daily volume of invoices and keep vendor accounts accurate and current. You'll work closely with our vendors and with our customer service and warehouse teams, so clear communication matters as much as accuracy.

What you'll do

• Process a high daily volume of vendor invoices
• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices, and resolve discrepancies
• Work with vendors, customer service, and our warehouse team to sort out pricing, quantity, and receiving issues

What we're looking for

• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable
• Hands-on 3-way match experience in a PO-based environment
• Accuracy and steady pace under high daily volume
• Clear, professional communication by phone and email

Nice to have

• Experience with C/F Data (STRUCTURE) construction accounting software. Helpful, but not required.
• Accounts receivable experience with construction billing (progress billing, AIA pay applications)
