Plan2Placement is partnering with a growing Food & Beverage company in Santa Ana, CA, to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their expanding accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for an AP professional who enjoys being part of a collaborative team, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to grow with an organization that is continuing to expand.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Process a high volume of invoices while ensuring accuracy and proper coding
• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with internal teams and vendors
• Assist with vendor setup, maintenance, and payment-related inquiries
• Prepare and coordinate vendor payments through various payment methods
• Perform AP account reconciliations and research outstanding items
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Maintain organized and accurate AP records and documentation
• Partner with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting, and other departments to resolve issues
• Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure payments are made according to established terms
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation when needed
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency
• Support additional accounting projects as the company continues to grow

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with invoice processing and vendor payments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred
• Food & Beverage, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or other high-volume industry experience is a plus
