Job summary

Meritum Energy is seeking a proactive Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our San Antonio team. You will process high volumes of vendor invoices in AvidXChange and NetSuite, ensure accuracy, manage payments, and reconcile statements across multiple entities.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication, and attention to detail, with experience in multi-entity setups and AP automation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 3+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices in AvidXChange and NetSuite, coding each to the correct entity and GL account.
• Verify invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and compliance with company policies.
• Process vendor payments, including wire transfers, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with vendor setup and maintenance of accurate vendor records.
• Research and respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare accounts payable reports to support financial reporting.
• Assist with year-end activities, including 1099 reporting.
• Partner with other departments and field locations to resolve invoice and payment questions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and accuracy.
