Job summary

Business Resources One is seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist in the Akron area to manage high-volume payroll and vendor invoices. The role requires taking ownership of vendor accounts, accurate data entry, and ensuring timely, compliant processing.

Requirements include 2+ years in AP/payroll and general accounting, proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Excel pivot tables, and strong attention to detail. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, vision, HSA, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting experience.
• Two years of proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office.
• Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas.
• Detail-oriented with professional, business casual demeanor.
• Associate or Bachelor's in accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume payroll for year-round, seasonal staff, and subcontractors.
• Manage accounts payable invoices and payments on time.
• Maintain detailed records and contract entries during peak seasons.
• Track year-end 1099 forms and oversee inventory/asset management.
• Perform manual journal entries to reconcile inventory and budgeting.
• Assist with reconciliations, budgeting, and other accounting projects.
