Vaco is partnering with a growing organization seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead day-to-day AP operations and drive process excellence across the procure-to-pay function in Alpharetta, GA. The role manages a team of 4–5 AP professionals, ensuring timely invoice processing and payments, strengthening controls, and supporting SAP-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or financial operations.
• 3-5+ years of direct people leadership experience (4-5 employees).
• 3-5+ years of recent SAP or SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, payment processes, reconciliations, vendor management, and internal controls.
• Experience systems (ERP - SAP), VIM/OCR tools and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Local Metro Atlanta/Alpharetta candidates only please - Must be able to commute to Alpharetta, GA.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payment execution, account reconciliations, and vendor issue resolution.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of AP professionals while ensuring service levels and performance goals are achieved.
• Monitor operational metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support automation initiatives, workflow enhancements, electronic invoicing solutions, and AP transformation projects.
• Participate in implementation activities, including testing, training, process design, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Treasury, and business stakeholders to optimize end-to-end procure-to-pay processes.
• Support internal and external audits through documentation, reporting, and remediation efforts.
