Job summary

Enclave in Fargo, ND is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function across divisions. You will supervise a team, ensure accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and tax compliance while driving process improvements.

The role is on-site at our West Fargo headquarters, full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a focus on accuracy, vendor relations, and scalable accounting practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience required.
• 1-3 years of previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop an accounts payable team, providing coaching and feedback.
• Balance team workload and ensure coverage during peak periods.
• Act as SME for accounts payable processes and systems.
• Serve as primary contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding payments."
• Oversee invoice intake, coding, approval routing, and data entry for multiple entities.
• Monitor unapproved invoices and aging to ensure timely payments.
• Execute weekly payment runs (check, ACH, virtual card).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice or subcontract discrepancies.
• Monitor vendor invoices for sales tax caps and file for refunds as needed.
• Ensure accurate sales/use tax application; maintain multi‑state compliance.
• Prepare and file sales/use tax returns and oversee year‑end 1099 reporting.
• Support month-end close by reconciling AP subledger to GL.
• Identify and implement efficiencies to streamline workflows and consolidate AP processes across divisions.
• Create, maintain, and update SOPs for AP processes and audit readiness.
