Aston Carter is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary, full-time contract in West Fargo, ND. You will manage high-volume invoice processing, vendor communications, and routine AP tasks to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

The role requires meticulous data entry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work full-time onsite in a fast-paced accounting team.

Qualifications

• Experience performing invoice entry and processing in an accounting or accounts payable environment.
• Ability to process approximately 1,000 invoices per month in a high-volume environment.
• Experience reviewing invoice documentation and approvals to ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Experience matching invoices to supporting documentation such as purchase orders and receipts.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiar with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Capability to work 100% onsite, five days per week, in West Fargo.

Responsibilities

• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review invoices for accuracy, required documentation, and appropriate approvals before processing.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and other supporting documentation to ensure completeness.
• Assist with preparing invoices for scheduled payment in accordance with established processes and timelines.
• Maintain organized electronic and/or paper accounts payable records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Respond to routine vendor questions professionally and route more complex issues to the appropriate team members.
• Support the accounting team with day-to-day accounts payable administration in a high-volume environment.
