Job summary

SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the daily AP operations, support government contracting, and drive process improvements. You will lead the AP team, own the close, and ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.

Responsibilities include managing vendor inquiries, ensuring proper documentation, and advancing automation within Deltek Costpoint, in line with FTR and DFARS. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years managing or supervising staff in accounting.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Excel and Office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable function and ensure timely processing.
• Supervise AP staff and coordinate workload and training.
• Own monthly AP close, accruals, aging analysis, and journal entries.
• Manage AP vendor inquiries and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Oversee travel expense audits under FTR and SciTec policies.
• Enter AP vouchers, expense reports, and AMEX statements in Costpoint.
• Track purchase orders and ensure SOX, FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Prepare for internal and government audits and drive process improvements.
• Drive automation to reduce manual touchpoints in AP.
