Shoe Station Group, Inc. in Fort Mill, SC is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP team and ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices and payments.

You will oversee end-to-end AP operations, drive process improvements, enforce controls, and collaborate with procurement and finance to support monthly close.

Qualified candidates have a accounting degree and several years of supervisory AP experience, plus strong Excel and ERP system skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with professional experience.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory exposure.
• Experience with Stampli, BI360, or GP is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable process including invoices and payments.
• Lead Accounts Payable team of associates and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices per terms and controls.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Implement procedures to minimize fraud and strengthen controls.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations where applicable.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and collaborate with procurement.

The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the organization's accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, expense reports, and vendor inquiries.

What You'll Do

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval workflow, and payment processing.
• Lead a team of Accounts Payable Associates who code expenses, verify and process invoices, and issue payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and other financial obligations in accordance with payment terms.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Implement and maintain procedures to minimize fraud risk and strengthen financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, including sales and use tax requirements when applicable.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Negotiate payment terms and collaborate with procurement and business leaders as needed.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or 4+ years of commensurate experience; minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with large-scale accounting systems such as Stampli, BI360, or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and convey a professional image.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
