LeoForce in Dyersburg, TN, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This permanent, full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of supervisory AP experience.

The ideal candidate will oversee invoice and payment processing, manage month-end close, maintain controls, and develop strong vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with multi-state tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in an accounts payable function.
• Experience with payment processing, AP, multi-state tax returns, and vendor payments.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting implications for AP.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounts payable department including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information, ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
• Provide accurate and effective document coordination and control to ensure that the accounts payable system works efficiently.
• Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships.
• Assist with internal and external audits ensuring strict compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Prepare and file multi-state tax returns.
• Analyze and resolve any discrepancies in payments and invoices.
• Train and mentor accounts payable staff to ensure understanding of company processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
