Job summary

U.S. Multimodal Group in Franklin, TN is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to support its finance team. This hands-on role processes vendor invoices, ensures timely payments, and maintains accurate records across ledgers and accounting documents.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent accounting experience, 3+ years in AP, and strong Excel/Office skills. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maintain compliance and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and reports.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Processes payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconciles and maintains various accounts and ledgers to include accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings, and/or other accounting documents.
• Assists with local tax compliances and state registrations.
• Assists the accounting department in daily activities.
• Assists with preparation for annual audits and local compliance.
• Communicates with customers and vendors.
• Manages payment and balance sheet schedules.
• Maintains accurate financial records and communicates invoice discrepancies to appropriate parties and tracks outstanding items.
• Generates financial reports for the Controller, as needed.
