RADIX Construction, Inc is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will assist with processing invoices, recording payments, and maintaining vendor records while developing accounting skills.

The role requires attention to detail and basic MS Office skills; prior AP experience is a plus but not required. This on-site position offers opportunities for growth within our finance department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous accounts payable experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process invoices and payment requests.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Enter invoice and payment information accurately into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with preparing and processing vendor payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Prepare checks, payment documents, and related correspondence for mailing when required.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Follow up on missing invoices, payment information, and account discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical financial records.
• Assist with tracking payment due dates and ensuring invoices are processed on time.
• Respond to basic vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and assist with routine accounting tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and company information.
• Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
