Job summary

RADIX Construction, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable Clerk to support the accounting team. The role focuses on processing invoices, recording payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records, with opportunity to learn financial software and procedures.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or with a team, with strong Excel and communication skills to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Willingness to learn accounting procedures and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process incoming invoices and payment requests.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Enter invoice and payment information accurately into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with preparing and processing vendor payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Prepare checks, payment documents, and related correspondence for mailing when required.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Follow up on missing invoices, payment information, and account discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical financial records.
• Assist with tracking payment due dates and ensuring invoices are processed on time.
• Respond to basic vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and assist with routine accounting tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and company information.
• Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
