Addison Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support a growing construction organization in Fairfax, VA. This contract role offers strong day-to-day AP ownership, including invoice processing, three-way matching, and vendor management, with potential for permanent hire.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of AP experience in construction, exposure to job costing, and familiarity with Acumatica. Onsite, full-time schedule, benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Recent construction industry experience required.
• Job costing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper authorization.
• Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts payable activity to vendor statements and the general ledger.
• Research and resolve vendor invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account activity.
• Assist with employee expense reports and reimbursement processing.
• Support three-way match processes and ensure adherence to company accounting policies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Support job costing and project-related AP activity.
• Participate in accounting system upgrades or implementations as needed.
• Work closely with accounting leadership to support accurate and timely AP processing

Assignment Type: Temp-to-Permanent

Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 / Per hour on contract

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description

Addison Group is partnering with a growing construction organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support its accounting team. This is a strong opportunity for an AP professional with construction industry experience who can step into a fast-paced environment and take ownership of day-to-day accounts payable responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong invoice processing, vendor management, reconciliation, and three-way match experience. Prior exposure to job costing is highly preferred, and experience with Acumatica is a plus.
