McLane Company, Inc is seeking an Accounts Payable Auditor Debit Bal I to manage debit balances with suppliers, write-offs, and reconciliations. The role involves collaboration with merchandising and division teams to ensure accurate ledgers and timely resolutions.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and proficiency in Word/Excel, with prior accounting or A/R experience preferred. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with administrative office or accounting roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers and collect on debit balance owed to McLane.
• Transfer credits to appropriate accounts as necessary.
• Research credits posted incorrectly and work to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with merchandising and division personnel to reconcile differences between McLane and supplier records.
• Obtain proper levels of approval to write off uncollectible balances.
• Manage supplier accounts placed on hold to prevent future debit balances.
• Report accounts for write-offs, balances written off and collected, and aged balances.
• Participate in quarterly debit balance meetings with merchandising to progress collection and write-off efforts.
