Job summary

Anderson Automotive Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable professional. The role emphasizes accurate invoice processing, vendor communication, and timely payment activities at our corporate location off Glenwood Ave in Northwest Raleigh.

Ideal candidates have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Automotive experience is a plus, with on-site work Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to coordinate activities and manage time efficiently.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Post approved purchase orders and invoices to general ledger accounts.
• Sort, code, review, and verify vendor invoices in a fast-paced environment.
• Print and mail checks to vendors according to payment terms and maintain files.
• Review and maintain accounting schedules and W-9 information.
• Reconcile vendor statements and pay balances within terms.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Assist in month-end closing tasks and ad hoc projects.
• All other tasks as assigned.

We are adding to our Accounts Payable team at our corporate location in Raleigh, NC:

• This is an entry-level position
• Previous AP or automotive accounting experience is preferred
• This is an on-site position located off Glenwood Ave in Northwest Raleigh
• Monday-Friday position

What we are looking for:

• Someone with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
• Ability to coordinate various activities simultaneously, excellent organizational and time management skills, and interpersonal skills
• Respond to all vendor inquiries
• Properly post approved purchase orders and invoices to general ledger accounts
• Sort, code, review, and verify vendor invoices in a fast-paced environment
• Print and mail checks to vendors according to payment terms and maintain paid invoice files
• Review and maintain accounting schedules
• Maintain W-9 information and annual 1099 reporting
• Reconcile vendor statements and pay balances owed within agreed credit terms
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Assist in month-end closing tasks as assigned
• All other tasks/projects as assigned
• Automotive experience preferred
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is required
• High school diploma or equivalent
