Job summary

The Anderson Automotive Group, a family-owned network of car dealerships, is expanding its Accounts Payable team at our Raleigh corporate location. This entry-level position emphasizes accuracy with vendor invoices, check mailing, PO posting, and month-end tasks. Automotive exposure is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Coordinate multiple activities with excellent organizational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills.
• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Post approved purchase orders and invoices to general ledger accounts.
• Sort, code, review, and verify vendor invoices in a fast-paced environment.
• Print and mail checks to vendors per payment terms; maintain paid invoice files.
• Review and maintain accounting schedules; maintain W-9 and 1099 reporting.
• Reconcile vendor statements and pay balances within terms; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing tasks; handle other tasks/projects as assigned.
• Automotive accounting experience preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP tasks and vendor communications.
• Post POs and invoices to GL and maintain schedules.
• Process vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
• Print and mail vendor payments following terms.
• Support month-end closing and close related tasks.
• Maintain W-9 and 1099 records and vendor statements.
