Department Mission:

The Bureau of Procurement and Fiscal Services provides comprehensive purchasing and fiscal management for the agency, including procurement administration, grants management, disbursement management, payment review, city tax levy budget coordination, capital project accounting, and contracts administration.

Position Overview:

The FDNY seeks a full-time accounts payable associate in the Bureau of Fiscal Services. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders and contracts, processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, analyzing payment requests, resolving invoice discrepancies, preparing vouchers, creating encumbrances, and performing related accounts payable duties as instructed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with three years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, including one year in a supervisory role; or
  • Associate degree or 60 semester credits with four years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience; or
  • High school diploma or equivalent with five years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience combined, with one year of supervisory experience required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of NYC Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules
  • Familiarity with City systems such as FMS and PASSport
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook

Salary Range:

$53,370.00 – $78,180.00
