Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Irving, TX, is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to support and process Station Accounts Payable. You will enter vendor invoices, code expenses, and communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, while ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Direct related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with accounting software/ERPs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely data entry of vendor invoices and credits.
• Process AP invoices for Capex and Operating expenses related to TV market operations.
• Verify vendor information and payment terms; apply use tax analysis as needed.
• Communicate invoice issues with vendors and internal departments.
• Coordinate with Station RBMs, Department Heads, and GM.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Perform AP system testing (UAT) for upgrades; test AI tooling for AP automation.
• Follow up on customer emails and calls in a timely manner; meet SLAs.
• Contribute to other projects and tasks as assigned by management.
