Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to support and process Accounts Payable for assigned stations. The role includes AP entry, vendor communications, tax analysis, and testing during system upgrades.

Responsibilities include timely invoice processing for Capex and Operating invoices, verifying vendor terms, and ensuring adherence to policies. Collaboration with RBMs, department heads, and GMs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of general bookkeeping or accounting practices.
• Experience with accounting software packages and/or ERPs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and apply to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Accurate & timely data AP (Accounts Payable) entry of vendor invoices and credits.
• Process AP invoices for Capex and Operating invoices related to TV market operations.
• Verifying vendor information and payment terms; consider use tax.
• Communicating with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice issues.
• Coordinate with Station RBMs, Department Heads, and GM.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Perform AP system testing (UAT) for system upgrades.
• Evaluate with testing of AI tools related to AP automation.
• Ensure all customer emails/calls are followed up promptly.
• Meet and maintain Department SLAs for processing volume and quality.
