Job summary

Oliver James is actively seeking a seasoned advisory professional in New Jersey with a strong foundation in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Audit, Assurance, and Deals/FDD, and will be comfortable communicating with C-suite executives on high-value transactions.

Candidates with CPA status or in-process CPA, a Masters, and familiarity with GAAP/IFRS standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters preferred.
• CPA certification preferred (in process acceptable).
• 4+ years in Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD at a Public Accounting firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred).
• Experience with large public filers and high-value transactions.
• Strong professionalism including communication with C-Suite; adaptable to evolving tech (AI, RPA).

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred - will accept those who are in process
• 4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD, within a Public Accounting firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred )
• Experience with large, Public filers (Audit/Assurance) & High Value Transactions (Deals/FDD)
• High degree of professionalism required- including the ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
• Self starter, who can thrive as an Individual Contributor, or in a team-based environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB & SEC/ASC rules and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing technological environments (AI, RPA etc.)
