Job summary

Oliver James is seeking a seasoned accounting professional for advisory work in the Detroit area. This role blends external audit background with experience in high-value deals, FDD and TAS, aboard a firm investing in people and career development.

The ideal candidate has a CPA (preferred), 4+ years in Audit/Assurance/Advisory or Deals within a public firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred), strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and the ability to communicate with C-suite executives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree preferred.
• CPA certification preferred – will accept candidates in process.
• 4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD in Public Accounting (Big 4/Top 10 preferred).
• Experience with large public filers (Audit/Assurance) & High Value Transactions (Deals/FDD).
• Professional demeanor and ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
• Self starter who can work as an Individual Contributor or in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB & SEC/ASC rules and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technologies (AI, RPA).
