Job summary

Mytech Partners seeks an Accounting Specialist to manage AP/AR and support daily transactional accounting. You will ensure timely vendor payments, accurate customer invoicing, and assist with month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

Cross-functional collaboration and strong problem-solving are essential. The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with QuickBooks/Xero/NetSuite, and excellent communication with vendors and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or similar ERP).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with vendors and customers.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately with proper coding and approvals.
• Prepare and process weekly/biweekly payment runs (ACH, check, wire).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain AP records and respond to vendor inquiries promptly.
• Monitor AP aging and flag past-due items for management.
• Generate and issue customer invoices on schedule.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on balances.
• Apply customer payments to correct accounts.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and short payments.
• Assist in collections and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
• Assist with month-end close tasks and accruals.
• Maintain accounting records and support internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
