Colonial Group in Edina, MN is seeking an Accounting Specialist II responsible for accurate and efficient processing of accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, and for mentoring and training accounting staff to improve processes.

You will review data integrity, prepare month-end accruals, assist in closing, manage checks, wires, and ACH payments, and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure timely processing of payable and receivable accounts.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic receiving systems.
• Strong MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) skills.

Responsabilités

• Process invoices and data uploads into the financial system; resolve complex issues.
• Review and validate data for accuracy and integrity of financial reports.
• Prepare month-end accruals and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end closing processes.
• Prepare and process AP/AR checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets accurately and timely.
