Job summary

Lunds & Byerlys is hiring a Full Time Accounting Specialist II to manage accurate processing of accounting records onsite in Minnesota. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, month-end activities, and collaboration with management to mentor accounting staff and improve processes.

The successful candidate will have at least an Associate’s degree in business administration and 4+ years of accounting experience, with strong MS Office and data integrity skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
• Four (4) or more years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic receiving systems.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and data uploads into the financial system and resolve related issues.
• Review data for accuracy and integrity of financial reports.
• Prepare month-end accruals and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end closing and in accounts payable/receivable processing.
• Prepare and process checks, wire transfers, ACH payments.
• Maintain various spreadsheets accurately and timely.
• Support ERP system maintenance of AP/AR modules.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers to ensure timely processing.
• Participate in cross-training and mentoring of staff.
• Assist with audit fieldwork for operational and financial audits.
