Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a VACO client in Columbus, OH. You will supervise daily accounting activities, oversee month-end close, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and coordinate audits while driving process improvements across the team.

The role requires a collaborative leader who can manage the close cycle, mentor staff, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Oversee month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and GL.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
• Support tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
