Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, a growing healthcare services organization, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead general ledger operations, own month-end close, and drive process improvements across a complex multi-entity environment. This hands-on role partners with executive leadership and manages onshore and offshore teams, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred, with 5+ years of progressive accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities.
• Experience in complex multi-location or multi-entity organizations.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience managing month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Proven ability to lead through change and improve accounting processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review and analyze financial results, including flux analysis and account reconciliations.
• Oversee general ledger accounting activities and maintain strong internal controls.
• Partner with executive leadership to support financial reporting, compliance, and business initiatives.
• Lead a combination of onshore and offshore accounting personnel, providing coaching, accountability, and performance management.
• Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and operational efficiencies across multiple systems and business units.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and work closely with external auditors and advisors.
