Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee AP/AR, monthly close, and financial reporting across multiple entities. You will report to the Corporate Controller and help scale accounting processes during NetSuite implementation.

The role requires a strong GL foundation, leadership of accounting staff, and a process-improvement mindset to enhance internal controls and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising accounting personnel or leading accounting functions.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-location environment; NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, including AP, AR, billing, and collections.
• Support month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff; drive cross-training and professional growth.
• Review GL activity and intercompany transactions for accuracy.
• Oversee vendor payments, customer billing, cash application, aging reports.
• Manage accounting for deposits, project-related transactions, fixed assets, prepaids, and balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with Corporate Controller to strengthen internal controls and improve financial reporting.
• Lead NetSuite ERP implementation: process docs, data validation, testing, training, support.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Assist with audits and accounting policy development.
