Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting to lead the GL function and month-end close. The role oversees journal entries, intercompany, cash, and reconciliations, partnering with FP&A and tax.

Equity administration and relationships with transfer agents are key, as well as driving process improvements. The position requires 5–7 years of progressive accounting, a CPA, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; 5–7 years in accounting with 2+ in supervision.
• CPA certification active or in process is required.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and ASC 718 equity accounting.
• Public company experience with SOX controls and reporting.
• ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Equity administration platforms (Certent/Equity Edge, Fidelity) preferred.
• Experience supporting SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) with auditors.
• Attention to detail, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger and month-end close with timely accuracy.
• Review journal entries across accruals, prepaids, and intercompany.
• Manage cash, reconciliations, and intercompany settlements.
• Support variance analysis with FP&A and provide commentary.
• Prepare disclosures and internal financial reporting packages.
• Coordinate SEC reporting and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Lead equity plan administration and external partner relations.
• Develop accounting staff and drive process improvements.
