Job summary

FirstPRO 360 is partnering with a growing investment firm to hire an Accounting Manager (CPA preferred). You will lead a team, own the month-end close, and ensure accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP.

The role offers high visibility and the chance to work closely with an experienced finance leader. You will review journal entries, perform reconciliations, support auditors, and drive process improvements including automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
• Maintain ownership of the general ledger, including variance analysis and flux explanations across the P&L and balance sheet
• Support technical accounting matters, including complex transactions and application of GAAP/IFRS guidance
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Partner with auditors and support external and internal audit processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Mentor and develop staff accountants, reviewing work and providing guidance on accounting treatment
• Drive process improvements within the close cycle, including automation and system enhancements
