We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our General Ledger (GL) team. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and driving process improvements across accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep technical accounting expertise and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of GL accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights to senior leadership
• Partner cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, and external auditors
• Lead audit support, including preparation of schedules and coordination with external auditors
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the GL function
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, or ERP enhancements as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
