Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Manager, Financial Operations to lead day-to-day payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations. You will supervise a multi-state payroll and AP/AR team, ensure SOX-compliant processes, and partner with finance, tax, HR, and treasury to support month-end close.

The role requires strong controls, process improvement, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple service providers, while maintaining accurate records and audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• 8+ years in accounting operations with progression.
• Experience supervising transaction-processing teams.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and payroll tax.
• Experience with payroll and financial systems, invoicing, AR/receivables.
• SOX internal controls, audits, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel; strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and judgment in confidential matters.

Responsabilités

• Manage payroll processing for a multi-state workforce using ADP HRIS.
• Supervise payroll, AP, and AR personnel; assign workload and train staff.
• Oversee AP: invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor inquiries, payments, reconciliations.
• Oversee AR: customer setup, invoicing, cash application, aging, collections.
• Review payroll reconciliations, tax filings, W-2s, and retirement contributions.
• Ensure SOX compliance; maintain audit-ready docs and controls.
• Resolve issues with Operations, HR, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury.
• Maintain SOPs; monitor accuracy and implement improvements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs across AR, AP, Payroll operations.
• Drive process improvements and automation while preserving controls.
• Perform other duties as required.
