Job summary

UWorld is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its Finance & Accounting team in Irving, TX. The role oversees general accounting, tax/compliance, financial reporting, audits, and process improvements, reporting to the CFO and partnering with business leaders to maintain financial integrity and drive performance.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 10+ years in accounting, 5+ years in people leadership, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Extensive experience with corporate income tax, multi-state payroll tax, and sales tax.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day general accounting activities and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee tax compliance, filings, and related estimates.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls improvements.
• Coach and develop accounting staff and lead process improvements.
