Job summary

UWorld, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Finance & Accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP. You will report to the Controller, oversee the close processes, and drive tax compliance and process improvements while partnering with business leaders across the organization.

The role demands a hands-on leader with deep accounting expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to mentor a growing accounting staff in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Extensive experience with US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day general accounting activities and maintain GL accuracy.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and ensure timely reporting.
• Oversee tax compliance activities and filings, federal/state obligations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and strengthen internal controls.
• Develop and mentor accounting team, and drive process improvements.
• Partner with CFO and leadership on financial analyses and strategic initiatives.
