Evlo AI is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting under US GAAP, SOX, and SEC requirements in a growing technology environment. You will lead a small team, coordinate audits, and implement close improvements.

This role partners with FP&A, tax, and internal audit to deliver audit-ready numbers for fundraising and regulatory needs, while ensuring accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience.
• CPA license; Bachelor's degree required.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and close management tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and quarter-end close process with accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements under US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Support SOX 404 compliance and remediation of deficiencies.
• Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews for SEC reporting purposes.
• Review complex accounting issues (revenue arrangements, stock-based compensation, capitalized software) and prepare position papers.
• Manage and develop a small team (2-3 staff) and set priorities.
• Drive close automation and process improvements using tools like NetSuite, NetSuite, or similar.
