Job summary

Ema in Silicon Valley is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to own major portions of the close, reporting, and technical accounting for a fast‑growing SaaS business. You will report to the CFO and lead multi‑entity consolidation, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ongoing process improvement.

You will evaluate ERP and close tooling, collaborate with FP&A and Legal, manage the auditor relationship, and drive automation with AI tools.

Qualifications

5–7+ years in SaaS or usage-based revenue businesses with US GAAP experience.
Direct experience with multi-entity financial reporting and consolidation.
Experience evaluating/deploying ERP systems; fluency with AI tools in accounting workflows.
Experience owning auditor relationships and leading audits.
CPA required; public accounting background a plus.
Comfort building the function with minimal supervision.
Strong judgment and attention to detail; able to switch from hands-on work to high-level design.

Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with US GAAP compliance.
Coordinate consolidation across entities for audit-ready statements.
Develop revenue accounting for SaaS and usage-based models (ASC 606).
Evaluate and deploy ERP/close tooling, favor AI-native systems.
Design scalable accounting policies and controls to scale with growth.
Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and executives on fundraising and board reporting; assist auditors.
Identify and reduce manual work using AI tools, including Ema.
Support CFO on finance priorities and initiatives.
