Job summary

Evlo AI is seeking a Financial Analyst to own budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP reporting. You will work inside a SOX-controlled environment, using NetSuite and Excel to build models and perform variance analysis for leadership and auditors.

You will partner with accounting during monthly close, support SOX controls, and drive automation of reporting processes. 3–6 years of FP&A or public accounting experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA or CPA candidacy preferred.
• Working knowledge of SOX controls and US GAAP reporting.
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, Workday, or SAP) plus advanced Excel modeling.
• Ability to explain variance drivers and financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in a technology company or fast‑scaling, audited environment.
• Bonus: SQL or Python for financial data analysis; exposure to SEC reporting (10‑K/10‑Q).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models in Excel and NetSuite covering revenue, opex, and headcount forecasts.
• Run variance analysis against budget and prior periods, documenting drivers and presenting findings to finance leadership.
• Support SOX compliance by executing control walkthroughs, maintaining control documentation, and coordinating remediation of identified gaps.
• Prepare GAAP‑compliant reporting packages, including flux analysis and margin reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with accounting managers during monthly close to reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Automate recurring reporting and reconciliation workflows in Excel (Power Query) and the ERP to reduce manual close work.
• Assist with audit readiness, compiling PBC deliverables and responding to external auditor requests.
