Job summary

Evolus, Inc. in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Accounting & Transformation Manager to lead accounting transformation initiatives, optimize the close, and drive automation across the financial reporting process.

You will collaborate with international teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX while pushing for scalable, AI-enabled solutions. The role requires a CPA, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with active CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public company close/financial reporting.
• Experience and/or eagerness to learn and apply AI solutions to drive process improvements and efficiencies, with a goal of being the team lead on AI.
• Experience and knowledge of US GAAP, including stock-based compensation (ASC 718).
• Project management experience, including ability to motivate and collaborate with team members.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated to grow with the company and ability to adapt to change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic accounting transformation initiatives focused on improving close speed, quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Manage month-end close optimization, standardization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner with International Controller on accounting quality and process improvements.
• Assist in implementing new GAAP accounting standards.
• Coordinate stakeholders and report progress to VP, Accounting.
• Lead/adapt with ad-hoc projects and improve procedures.
• Review monthly/quarterly/annual accounting activities and reconciliations.
• Act as liaison between Corporate and International accounting teams; support SOX.
• Ensure US GAAP-compliant financial statements and audits; coordinate with auditors.
