Job summary

Skilled Care Group seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Department, overseeing financial close, reporting, consolidation, and audit support. This role collaborates across departments to ensure accurate financials and strong internal controls.

Ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and proficiency with Excel and ERPs. Location: New York area; salary range $90k–$110k with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, auditing, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

• Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting procedures and controls.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting staff.
