Job summary

Carolina PRG is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This role offers a path for an experienced accounting professional to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, review journal entries, and strengthen internal controls.

You will collaborate with FP&A and other departments on reporting, support audits, and drive process improvements across multiple entities. A strong GAAP background and mentoring skills are ideal for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience working with multiple entities or business units is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting system.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both accounting and non-accounting professionals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Prior experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior accounting professionals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Support consolidated and multi-entity accounting and reporting activities.
• Partner with FP&A and other internal departments on financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with annual audit activities, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
• Help maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls and processes.
• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation as needed.
• Support accounting system and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to accounting team members and assist with workload prioritization.
• Respond to accounting questions from internal stakeholders and support special projects as needed.
