Job summary

Rally House is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee internal financial reporting across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control, and Sales. You will drive accuracy, strengthen controls, and develop scalable processes to support our growth.

The ideal candidate has 5-7+ years' accounting experience with U.S. GAAP, MBA/CPA/CMA preferred, and NetSuite ERP experience. We offer competitive benefits, flexible PTO, a store discount, 401k match, parental leave, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of public or private accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA designation preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly income statements and expense reporting, and present results with insights on accuracy, trends, and opportunities.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis to support decisions.
  • Ensure timely payment of expenditures by applying GAAP guidance on accruals, deferrals, or expenses.
  • Support end-to-end AP requirements, including PO and non-PO processes.
  • Manage the purchase card program and ensure policy compliance.
  • Oversee cost accounting for accurate inventory costing and close activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership on accounting standards and controls.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to resolve issues and discrepancies.
  • Provide accounting support across the organization and handle ad hoc projects.

Job Description

The Accounting Manager is a detail-oriented and proactive leader responsible for overseeing key internal reporting activities and financial reporting processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control, and Sales. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, supports SOX compliance, and develops scalable accounting processes to support a growing organization. The Accounting Manager partners closely with leadership to help establish the vision, strategy, and standards governing the company's assets and financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly income statements and expense reporting, and present results to department leaders with insights on accuracy, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results, including preparing variance analysis as needed to support business decision-making
  • Ensure timely payment of periodic expenditures by applying sound judgment and GAAP guidance to determine whether costs should be accrued, deferred, or expensed
  • Support end-to-end invoice and payment processing requirements, including purchase order and non-purchase order accounts payable processes
  • Manage the purchase card program, including oversight of cardholder spend, monitoring compliance with established guidelines, and ensuring cardholders uphold proper controls and policy requirements
  • Oversee the end-to-end cost accounting process to ensure accurate inventory costing within the company's inventory management system, including monthly and quarterly close activities, inventory- and manufacturing-related journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation while partnering regularly with business owners and senior leaders on accounting matters
  • Collaborate with external vendors to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Provide accounting support across the organization and respond to financial questions and concerns to meet business needs
  • Complete ad hoc assignments, business projections, forecasts, and special projects with limited direction

Qualifications

5-7+ years of public and/or private accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and monthly close processes required

3+ years of general accounting experience required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required

MBA, CPA, or CMA designation preferred

Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite experience preferred

Retail or wholesale industry experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment

Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen

Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds

Pay Range

$95,000.00 - $115,000.00
