Accounting Manager: MUST BE LOCAL

Insightful Talent is excited to partner with a client in their search for an Accounting Manager to join their team. Our client is a fast-growing, private equity–backed practice management company specializing in providing operational, financial, and strategic support to dermatology practices nationwide. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting integration of new practices into the financial systems.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial data.
• Support consolidation of financial results across multiple practice entities.
• Partner with FP&A to provide variance analysis and operational insights.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, PE reporting requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Assist with integration of newly acquired practices, including onboarding to financial systems, chart of accounts mapping, and process alignment.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax preparation.
• Mentor and develop a small accounting team, fostering professional growth and accountability.

What you need to bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a multi-entity or healthcare services environment strongly preferred.
• Prior exposure to private equity–backed companies a plus.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close best practices.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
