Senior Accounting Manager – PE-Backed Healthcare Group

A rapidly growing $250M+ private equity-backed healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for strategic impact, process improvement, and leadership within a multi-location healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple locations.
• Maintain accounting processes, including purchase accounting, fixed assets, equity, goodwill, and intangibles.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for amortization, depreciation, and SG&A analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Assist with system implementation, particularly fixed asset systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, ophthalmology, or multi-location practice management.
• Strong technical accounting skills with experience in acquisition accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (index match, xlookup, vlookup, sumifs, etc.).
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial information effectively.
