We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead key financial operations and support the overall success of our resort’s finance team. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional with a strong background in hospitality accounting and a passion for accuracy, leadership, and process improvement.

This is a critical position within our accounting department, responsible for overseeing income audit, general cashiering, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager plays a central role in ensuring compliance with internal controls and tax regulations, guiding the month-end close process, and mentoring Staff Accountants. This role works closely with all operational departments to support sound financial decision-making across the property.

What You Do:

  • Oversee daily income audit functions including balancing and reviewing PMS/POS postings, verifying ledger balances, and distributing daily audit reports and flash reports.
  • Manage general cashiering operations: count and prepare daily deposits, maintain deposit logs, prepare change orders, issue and audit house banks, and enforce cash handling policy compliance.
  • Monitor sales and occupancy tax collections; document exemptions and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review and reconcile all food & beverage comps, discounts, room rates, and PMS adjustments, including comp rooms.
  • Reconcile daily and MTD intercompany transactions and ensure related balance sheet accounts are accurate.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to daily activity and assist in the month-end close process.
  • Supervise and support the hotel Staff Accountant, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial tasks.
  • Manage and monitor accounts receivable: review ledgers, track incoming payments, and house accounts.
  • Provide financial guidance and training to accounting and hotel staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for all payroll-related items using ADP.
  • Reconcile, prepare, and post all tip and commission payouts in alignment with payroll activity.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as directed by the ADOF or DOF.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Hotel accounting management experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, and hospitality operations.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, PMS/POS systems, and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify variances.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of making decisions guided by policies and financial procedures.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the resort and interact with multiple departments.
  • Occasionally lift and carry files or office supplies (up to 20 pounds).
  • Occasional travel between properties or to off-site meetings as required.
