Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple locations, mentor staff, and support monthly financial reporting. The role offers visibility to leadership and a clear path toward advancement into a Controller position.

You will drive process improvements in a high-volume, multi-entity environment, oversee month-end close, GL reconciliations, and assist with audits, while partnering with leadership on business initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and GL experience.
• Experience in multi-location, shared services, high-volume transactions.
• ERP systems experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate day-to-day operations
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and month-end close activities
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet schedules
• Approve account adjustments and ensure accuracy of receivable balances
• Support bonus calculations, expense reporting, and other monthly reporting requirements
• Assist with annual audits and preparation of supporting schedules
• Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and employee development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls
• Identify process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies
• Partner with leadership on special projects and business initiatives

• Experience in multi-location, shared services, high-volume transaction environments strongly preferred
• ERP system experience required
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
